Rochester’s Quality is a love letter to my hometown. I sourced and redesigned 98 individual logos from Rochester’s past and present as clean vector graphics, then brought them together into a single limited-edition print, handcrafted and printed in Rochester on a 4-color offset Heidelberg Speedmaster, on Mohawk renewable hemp paper made in New York.

Ninety-eight logos, one homage

From Rubino’s and French’s to Bay & Goodman, I redrew each mark as clean vector art and arranged them into a single dense, celebratory composition, a snapshot of the city’s commercial design history in one print.

Handcrafted at home

It mattered that the piece was actually made in Rochester. The limited edition was printed locally on a 4-color offset Heidelberg Speedmaster, on Mohawk renewable hemp paper made in New York, so the object honored the place as much as the artwork did.

Reflection

Redesigning 98 marks into one coherent print was a lesson in restraint and system: every logo had to keep its own character while sitting inside a single grid, palette, and print process. It’s the same instinct I bring to design systems, many parts, one language.
